Zoga Movement in Infant Therapy

PROGRAM:

The training program includes strategies for structurally working with the most common disorders of disfluency encountered by the pediatric therapist. During this hands-on training, we will discuss body symmetry disorders beginning with head asymmetry and head-neck junction. We will demonstrate ways to work with this area and try this work on both ourselves and external models. We will apply strategies for raised ribs and clavicles, the most common foot, pelvis and craniofacial defects, malocclusion and other developmental disorders we encounter in our patients. We will also learn strategies for working with children after heart surgery and other common pediatric surgical procedures. This training will prepare you for practical in-office structured work with specific clinical cases in infants and give you the opportunity to effectively address these problems.

Classes include:

  • Detailed Anatomy of the Area – short and intensive presentations showing an interesting view of anatomical structures supported by autopsy recordings and palpation anatomy.
  • Postural Analysis – common movement and postural consequences – learn how to see and read the intricacies of individual patterns.
  • Musculoskeletal Release Techniques – each technique is shown with accurate “feel” so that you can use them immediately after returning from training to your daily therapeutic work.

During this 3-day course, our expert will impart invaluable knowledge to you.

ANSWER:

Training Objective and Outcomes:

In this training, you will learn and develop your skills on:

Diagnosis, structural strategies, and techniques for working with the most common infantile disorders encountered by the pediatric therapist, starting with body symmetry disorders like head asymmetry and head-neck junction.

These are key to prepare the therapist for hands-on structured work in an office when dealing with specific clinical cases in infants, as well as to effectively interact with these problems.

You will also learn about structural assessment and techniques for effectively influencing structure, including which strategies to use for raised ribs and clavicles, the most common foot, pelvic and craniofacial defects, malocclusion and other developmental disorders we encounter in our patients, as well as strategies for working with children after heart surgery and other common childhood surgical procedures.
